When I picked up this Labradorite stone and tipped it in the light, a beautiful landscape appeared. There is a mountain at the right, trailing downwards to the left. Above it is a golden sky like you can see near sunset. I framed it in a landscape of boulders and rubble in the foreground and a silver cedar tree to the right. The background is a swirling mist of silver. At the top right is a eye-like sun with rays that looks like it came from ancient writing. The back has the group of ancient symbols where I found the sun.
The Cedar tree has long been associated with the magical merging of heaven and earth. It is used for cleansing with smudge-smoke, and it also is used for functional items from canoe's to bowls, spoons, and fiber. The mystical sun has a message it is sending with its rays. It is a message of hope and belonging. We humans belong on the earth and we are custodians here. We respect the land and it provides and nurtures us.
This unique one of a kind item was designed and hand crafted by Denise Hershey of Gaia's Song Jewelry. The sterling sillver chain features the Gaia's Song Jewelry logo (with a unique pattern on the back) made of .999 fine silver and a cubic zirconia dangling from a dainty sterling silver extender chain.
