McMinnville Art Festival 2026
Join us in Celebrating the first annual McMinnville Art Festival in Historic Downtown McMinnville, a free event for the whole family brought to you by ArtWorks, a program of Arts Alliance of Yamhill County.
The festival will be in conjunction with Mac Fresco, an open-air celebration of food, wine, art and local flavor.
3rd Street closes to cars and opens to people creating a pedestrian friendly promenade where you can sip, eat, shop and stroll your way through downtown visiting over 50 artisan booths.

Last month, I showed you my first Tree of Living that featured a Garnet sun, a swing, and a birdhouse. In June, it will be offered at a silent auction at the Gala for the Forest Grove Theater in the Grove.
I loved how that one turned out so much that I decided to make a night version collection of all four seasons that includes the swing and birdhouses in the tree, but features a 24k gold crescent moon. All have mysterious colorful swirly dusky skies.
At top left, you see Winter’s tree has no leaves in a rectangle shape. At top right the Spring Tree with emerging leaves is in a square shape. Bottom Left is an Oval shape with the tree with full summer leaves, and Bottom right is Autumn with its leaves of 18k Rose Gold in a diamond-like shape.
All four of these trees of living are already on sale in my online store and will be available in person at my future shows.
SILVER TALK
Wow! These past several months were an exciting roller-coaster ride with the price of silver! The spot price of silver went from about $30 per Troy oz January 2025 and stayed in in the $30’s until August. By early October it was in the $50’s and in December it went from the $60s to $80 and backed off in the $70s. In January it was crazy, going from there to $115 on the 23rd and as I type this on Feb 2nd, it is back in the $80s.
You can bet that big jewelry companies like Shane Company have already re-priced their jewelry to the new level. I took a look at the jewelry I have made with silver content and I have A LOT. I have made a strategic decision to NOT RAISE MY PRICES on my existing jewelry because I purchased my silver a while ago at lower prices, and I still have enough for another year or two before I need to buy at a new price.
I do believe silver is a very good investment. Part of the reason the prices have jumped is that it turns out that silver is used in many products, including solar panels, EV batteries, electronics, and military uses besides jewelry and monetary value. Gold is used primarily for jewelry and monetary value, but not much is used in products. We are in the middle of a squeeze on the supply of silver. Manufacturers need it for our high-tech products, and the silver supply has been hit hard, leading to supply shortages and the consequent wild price fluctuations.
Lucky for you, I bought a lot of silver clay before the price jumped. The next time I buy silver, it is really going to be a big jump in price. Until then, you can still buy my existing pieces at last year's silver price. I don't think the market silver price will ever be as low as it was a year ago There is too much demand for silver.
The bottom line is that my lovely silver pieces are worth more than ever. Not only do you get the Gaia's Song Jewelry quality and beauty, the silver pieces are a beautiful way to invest in a tangible product that is wearable and has timeless value.
At these low, last year prices, Valentine’s Day is a good excuse to buy something for your loved one, or you can always treat yourself!

I have created several different charms based on Astrology. Each Zodiac sign has an element (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) associated with it. I created two sets of symbols to represent those 4 and a fifth element - Aether. I created stamps of those, and also a set of typical zodiac symbols.
With those stamps, I have created fine silver charms that can be put onto a chain (bracelet or necklace). They have two sides.
For Zodiac signs, I have two sets. One with the corresponding Alchemical symbol for its element and the zodiac symbol. The other is a zodiac symbol on one side and what I call primitive, or line symbol for the element on the other. Each element has a color associated with it and in the future I will have at least some of the silver charms colored close to the appropriate colors.
I also have charms with the five elements on them. For each of the five elements, one side has the alchemical symbol and the other side has the primitive line symbol on it. If you're counting, that is 29 permutations.

I had so much fun making medallions and clasps for some of my bracelets! Next, I will be adding fine silver charms to my products. Eventually, I want to create many different types of charms. The first batch are in the design stage and hopefully available in September 2025.
